The bridge name, given by Lord Byron in the 19th century, is fanciful as the days of summary executions were over by the time the bridge was built and the cells were for small-time criminals.

Venice's Bridge of Sighs. The legend says that if you kiss your lover on a gondola at sunset under the bridge then you’ll be assured eternal love.

Great view, great legend. However taking a picture can be a hard task. Hoards of crowds scrambling to get a photo clicked :).

This must-see bridge passes over the Rio di Palazzo designed by the famous Antoni Contino. Called as such because it's the last view of Venice that convicts got to see before being imprisoned.
