Chr. erbaut; Durchmesser 140 m × 103 m, mit zwei Geschossen mit je 60 Arkaden und ca. 25.000 Zuschauern Platz bietend; im Mittelalter zu einer Festung ausgebaut, von der noch drei Vierecktürme (12. Jahrhundert) und die Arkadenvermauerung zeugen; Ab 1825 erfolgte schrittweise die Entfernung der zahlreichen Häuser im Inneren und angrenzend an das Oval; seit 1846 restauriert und gegenwärtig an Festtagen Schauplatz für Stierkämpfe;
