Originally, the Bristen tunnel consisted of two parts, Bristen I with a length of 653.26 m, and Bristen II with 213.47 m. Between the two tunnels there was an open track here with a length of about 40 m. Because this fall into oblivion, there was a confusion about a <a href="http://bahnbilder-von-max.ch/keyword-files/bristen-tunnel.html#picture_02162" rel="nofollow">historical photo</a> from 1967.
